In today’s gender charged reaction for no reason, we have heat being thrown at Johnny Mac, used to typically being the fire breather for this interview:

As with typical people, they heard one line in the article, “if she played in the men’s circuit she’d be like 700 in the world,” and immediately went into a ridiculous rage.

Yes, Twitnt, John McEnroe cannot personally experience the miracle that is childbirth, let’s just gloss over how that is a sexist comment in and of itself and move on. Everyone looked to Serena for a response, and they got one, sort of:

Anyone who has argued with a women, and anyone that’s had a girlfriend has argued with a woman, knows that as soon as they alter the subject, you know there’s truth there that they don’t want to admit. Luckily we don’t need to rely on hypotheticals to prove that, all we have to do is ask 2013 Serena Williams:

This is a non story to rile people up who confuse equal rights with anything else. Serena and J Mac should have the right to marry whomever they choose. They have an American right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That doesn’t mean Serena can stare down a cross court full west grip shot on clay from Rafa Nadal and handle it with ease to win a best of 5. Let’s be reasonable here. Anyone mad about this 1) learn to read a whole article and not just a headline and 2) before you yell misogynist in a crowded theater, look in the mirror because it takes one to know one. And any kid who is too young and thinks John McEnroe is a scrub like Bobby Riggs, literally take 5 minutes to google it. Johnny Mac is a hot head, but he knows way more about tennis than you.
